Number Maintenance
Number maintenance is a way to give each record in the system its own specific numbering scheme. In the number maintenance section, you will see a listing of each record type. Each number maintenance record will have a prefix and a counter. Both fields can be changed and adjusted based on new requirements. You cannot have two of the same number for the same record. If this happens, the system will increment the counter until it finds a unique value. By default, the number scheme is the first three letters of the record type (e.g., PRO for Project). However, you can remove that prefix or create a custom one.
List/Form Views
You can customize the fields displayed on the list and form views, and the order they are displayed in. If you go to Admin then to List View / Form View, you will see a listing of all the fields for each table. If “Active” is set to true for a field, it will show up on the list. The order dictates where it shows up in the header (e.g., the lowest order field will show up as the first column in the list). You can also change the label for the field, which is what will show up as the name of the field. If you change this on the list, it is a good idea to change it on the form view as well.
